MTB | Betasso Preserve or Betasso Link Trails

  • Betasso Preserve Trailhead Betasso Road CO, 80302 United States (map)

Join us for an evening MTB ride at Betasso Preserve!

Betasso Preserve is a popular trail system close to Boulder that offers 5 trails, 10 miles, and 900 feet of elevation. The trails are linked together to form longer and varying routes. The trails are directional and change for bikes with the direction information provided on signs. Expect flowing single track that is mostly pretty easy, with some small embedded rocks and rooty areas, and few stiff pitches. Some trails are fairly narrow with exposure.

The Betasso Link trail is rated hard/difficult, and climbs 600 ft in 1.2 miles. It is a hard climb with very steep grades from the start on usually very dusty and loose rock. Pretty much all but the best are going to hike a bike for a little bit.

We will ride as a group with a lead and a sweep rider. If the group of riders is too large, we will split into a couple of distinct and separate groups. We will plan to ride a selection of trails based upon trail conditions and rider ability. Plan to ride 1.5-2 hours or until sunset and bring a headlamp.

Meet at Betasso Preserve Trailhead in Boulder. The early start from  A-Lodge Boulder requires taking the Betasso Link Trail up to the Betasso Preserve trail system.

One thing, please sign our ride waiver. Do it once and you’re done! WAIVER
